What I can say if I compare with Western Institution is that the IHSS is something unique in fact because you have total freedom to work, you have time to mature and deepen your work and this is very precious. This is very rare and so this institution is something yes, I would say unique as far as I know.

I’m very happy I have experienced the high level, the top level of the students in China and in these reading groups as to those were very excellent and not only because they were really easily speaking English or French but because they had worked and prepared the groups very seriously.

And I have been very impressed by the quality and once again the excellence of the students here. So it has been helpful for me because they asked me questions that made me think a lot and as for the discussions with colleagues, Chinese colleagues, it was really helpful. I have learned a lot and I have had a very interesting discussions with some fellows from Shanghai, from Taiwan, and with of course with Professor Qu Jingdong who is very, very impressive in conversations. So it was absolutely helpful to me.
